in january to solve problem of crossing small patches of water

So, if the thead does not entirely consider it a problem, here's how i spawned in a completely stock selected map :
I know the chance of this 'should' be astronomically low, but i can't do absolutely anything.

The partial solution for now is, that there is 400X400 tiles area charted when you start the game. If you are on island this should give you a good hint.

How about checking that at least one border chunk of currently generated map is passable in the outward direction?
