Middle mouse permanently clears tutorial items

  • What did you do?
I started the "Rail signals advanced" tutorial.
  • What happened?
I accidentally used a middle mouse click on one of the items that have been provided in the quick bar.
This has cleared the item, making the tutorial impossible to complete. Even clicking the "reset" buttons on top of the screen didn't restore the item.
Edit: Unlike other tutorials (i.e. "Entity transfer"), this clears the filter.
  • What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
Literally nothing: The quick bar filter feature shouldn't work in tutorials with limited items. Additionally I would expect the "Reset all" button to reset the quick bar to the tutorial steps start state.
Edit: Removing quick bar filters should be disabled as in the "Entity transfer" tutorial.
  • Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Reproductible for the tutorials "Train stops", "Rail signals basic" and "Rail signals advanced".
  • If you can reproduce the issue provide the exact steps!
    • Start tutorial "Train stops"
    • Clear the "Train stop" filter from the quick bar with middle-click
    • Click on "Continue" in the "Objective" window in the upper left
    • There is no train stop to place:

Edit: Some clarifications after realizing a mistake I made :)

It's just a filter, press E.

Now I feel kinda dumb, the thought to open the inventory didn't even cross my mind - played too much with a filled out quick bar.
That said: Other tutorials (i.e. the "Entity transfer" one) seem to disable clearing the quick bar for tutorial-relevant items, even overriding slots - which would probably the expected behaviour in all tutorials.
