When your character is on a rocket, before cutting to the platform surface, there is some period while you see the rocket animation, clouds, stars, etc. Throughout your entire duration while the planet you're on disappears in the clouds, the names of other players and their cursors remains visible until you transfer surfaces. So you still see them on top of the clouds and stars.
My proposal is to have name/cursor visibility disable once you hit the cloud layer, ideally by getting obscured by the clouds just as the rest of the surface does. These being persistent throughout the entire launch animation honestly breaks immersion since you're allegedly traveling at orbital velocity while seeing names/cursors moving around all around you, and contributes nothing to the game since you can't even see the players or the planet anyway.
Thanks.

Thanks for the report. I know about. I'll get around to it once all the crashy bugs are sorted.
The clouds are drawn above everything else, but for some bloody reason, pins and the player names (implemented by someone else) are drawn in the GUI for no good reason, which is even higher in the stack than the clouds...

Adding to this, while you're off through the clouds/stars on a rocket to a platform, even though you can't see the planet surface at all, hovering your mouse around the sky will show descriptions for machines/belts/items on the right hand side. Being able to highlight with your mouse (and possibly select?) items nearby the rocket should be completely disabled as soon as you hit the cloud layer. Its another one of those small immersion breaking things.
