Hello.
I'm first time playing with bobs/angels, and right now, i feel like i've hit an impenetrable wall...
Trying to automate wood, i hit an issue with not being able to research Farming 1 (which is needed for tree arboretum 1).. I don't see any prerequisites missing...

You should be able to research Farming 1 with just the transport science pack. This looks like a bug or confilct between mods.

Do you mind providing a list of mods you use, including version numbers?

[edit] I just checked: in my game Farming 1 depends on Washing 1 from Angel's Refining. That makes sense because you need mud (from washing) for soil (in farming). And Refining is a necessary dependency for Bioprocessing.

Were you able to figure out why this wasn't working? I'm having the same problem.

Well its likely a missing prerequisite tech. If you can provide a save file we can load it up and see whats gone wrong.

I found another thread discussing the missing research item, and they said they tried starting a new game, and it was there, but when they loaded the old save, it still wasn't. So, just to test, I started a new world and washing was in the list of available research items. I didn't have to change my mods at all. So I think it's just a bug that happens when a world is created.

It sounds like an incomplete mod upgrade (migration) that broke the savefile.
