The issue comes from the huge capacity of the warehouses. I lowered the amount of slots and performance drop decreased

Or just use bots, they shouldn't kill your performance as much as inserters.

Apparently i've been neglecting my own thread

I've incorporated the polish translation thanks diilmac (had to specifically install Notepad++ to get the encoding right), so hopefully that works

I'm glad that i could make so many people happy and provide something so useful, and yes, many warehouses and and many huge warehouses do come at a cost of CPU power, but you know, just be aware of it.

Also, i got a PM about incorporating the mod into Refactorio, which i'm allowing with my blessing.
The licence on the warehouse graphics isn't explicitly under a different licence, but i would like to know where they will be used if someone else wants to use them (almost like a just ask, and don't just take them kind of deal) if that makes sense. Now i know this won't stop people doing it, but you know, be nice please? ^.^;

If anyone else wants to contribute translations please do, they help everyone enjoy the mod the best way possible :)

Version 0.0.7 is out now, with russian and polish, go grab it (and let me know if they're working correctly)

You could consider licensing the graphics under the CC-BY license, which sounds like it does what you want?

Well, okay, i'll fix the licence terms, it'll be under CC BY-NC

I also just like being told if the graphics are used and where they're used, but there's no licence that says that :roll:

Could I make a request/suggestion:
Would be nice if we had smaller warehouses, like half of the current buildings (6x3)

Well, the only issue i have with oddly sized warehouses are that you cannot rotate them, as the chest is not a rotatable, so you'd have to make a 6x3 and a 3x6

Also, who's heard of a small warehouse .. i mean really ... :P

That being said if you think it's worthwhile and doesn't look too bad, you can always give me a pull request on github and i'll pull it into the mod, oh and you'd need custom images, the current ones would really look bad is you squashed them into a 3x6 or 6x3 :roll:

Ok I decided to make it a 3x3 because of like you said rotation is an issue, plus I was able to use an assembler as the base. I named it a storehouse, and I think it turned out alright. I'm working out the kinks for the logistic version now, and I'll try and figure out the that github pull request but until then here are some screenshots.

Warehouses come in all shapes and sizes. :)

the current 6x6 is great as a large distribution center, and a 4x4 and/or 3x3 would be great for loading/unloading trains...

more sizes the better... :)

I use my 6x6 in load stations, so my miners don't stop at all as they have a TON of space to save ores. And also my trains don't waste time there, as the warehouses are the perfect train size, they don't bother any planning.

What about underground warehousing? :O For expanding the storage space of a warehouse even further by adding levels of storage underground! Could be a good late game storage method. :P My trains fill a warehouse with copper way too fast making me need 4 or more of them just for that train.

Well, we're already running into TPS and UPS issues with the storage warehouses, so making another warehouse that's more than 1000 slots will cause even more lag, especially for smaller footprints and larger storage spaces.

Besides, factorio is supposed to be visual and cluttered and all above ground, you can't go burying all those nice buildings for the sake of saving space .. you have the whole planet's surface to build on, so build .... :P

Oh, also, because the mod doesn't need any complicated logic, adding extra storage would require things i don't think i have access to in the code
