Target: 100x1 full blue belt of Green Science pack, best UPS wins
For ppl interested in creating the ultimate UPS optimized Green Science factory, whatever it takes.
Please give (attach here in the forum) a savegame producing 100 belts, region cloned from a 1 belt module.
See also: UPS Optimization - Green Science Ore In (editor) in case you prefer "Ore In" setups.
Results - 2023-09-17
  1. UPS: 208 - Belter v1.0 (5B/8B, not timed): Forum / FactorioBox
  2. UPS: 117 - Belter v0.1 (12B, not timed): Forum / FactorioBox
Conditions: end-game scenario, vanilla only, editor allowed
Input: wherever ore you add w/the editor. You must mine the ore.
Minig Prod: +1990% (so an electric mine can produce a full lane w/3 SMs) /c game.player.force.technologies["mining-productivity-4"].level = 200
Mods: none, vanilla to run. For editing you can use whatever you want, but measurement will be done w/o any mods
Extra items allowed from editor per full belt:
- 1 x Electric energy interface only to produce electricity
- 1 x Express loader + 1 x Infinity box only to consume the packs
Specify ramp-up time (not more than 10 mins please)
Must be able to produce a full blue belt w/o any gaps for 1 hour. In case of any gaps on the output belt you're out
Sharing signalling is OK accross the cloned sections
TBD: if someone is interesting in roboports, let's agree on a late game upgrade level. Output still needed on a full blue belt.
Details, tips, arguments why to play like this?
See UPS Optimization - Red Science (editor)
Nice to haves
Add a screenshot to your post
One solution per post
Give your nick and a version number the savegame filename like "Green Science UPS Edit - Belter v1.0.zip"
Make a single, clear power entry on the left
Science Belt to go from left to right
Region Clone from North to South
Feel free to join benchmarking: unfortunately Factorio does not scale perfectly, so on different/faster machines the UPS order might be different
If your result is in the top 3%, feel good :)
Re-using solution from others is OK - mention it if you can
If FactorioBox works again upload there as well

I'll measure on my still slow computer (i5 3.2GHz) at least once a week and update the results here. FactorioBox looks dead, if you know anything like that, let's use it..
