Hub City - a 1.8k science belt based base

Hello,

I produce 1.8k science and my old pc is at its limit. When everythings running I have about 30 to 40 UPS. So I will end this game now.

The basic idea: Building 4 average sized belt bases, that lead to 1 center, where the rockets are sent to space, and the labs are located

This is my second save game at all, and the first one, where I got into the late game. So it's all mixed up a little. I've improved my blueprints more and more, but often I've left the old versions where they were. You can especially see that very well with train stations and train intersections

The whole base (except the base building part) is based on an excel file, in which I've put in the recipes and the goal. That excel file has calculated how much I need of everything. For example it said I need exactly 13 copper belts and 7.77 iron belts for 600 science. So I've built 14 copper smelting columns, and 8 iron smelting columns.

This is my base
At the center there is the rocket parts, the labs and a storage for all parts
In the east there's the base building part with up to 250 science
south, west and north basically are the same with up to 600 science each. I like the size. It fits nicely into a mainhub and all the stuff, that is needed perfectly fits into 1 (or 2) city blocks
At the very north there is new newest part of my base: An extra Mainhub just for modules. The assemblers can be fed up to 50%. First the productivity modules and half of the speed modules get produced. And only when they are full the Efficiency modules will be produced. The mainhub is really full in the middle

When Ive started with the module mainhub in the very north I've realized, that I don't build enough express belts. So I've made a new blueprint. Here are modules and express logistics. And yes: I love direct insertion:

1.8k science. Production got up lately because of the new module build

There are some issues right now. Since the modules are producing like crazy I lack energy in the last few seconds of the night. And then there is coal and uranium, where I've planned production. Therefore I dont have enough low density structures and advanced cicuits right now. Theoretically my base could produce 2k science
