I think about that Modders can add new Types for Technology Unlock or Items creating. And that we can add to the Vanilla Items Wire support etc.

There is actualy a subforum where modders can make requests for these things.

The issue with just saying "Let modders be able to define their own things" is that there's likely a reason why modders can't just define new things... The main reason is time and effort. It's easier just to add in a few extra hooks when they're requested. Also, where do you start to program a system for modders to dynamically create new things?

The game is already quite modder friendly.
