i catch white head bumble bees "males" put them in a paper towl and in the freezer for 45sec. i then remove the bee if it worked right they are cold and dont move but are not dead. you then take a long piece of the thinnest lightest string i can find around 7 ft or so the longer the more fun. the average adult bumble bee can lift about 6 grams, and sustain flight under that load for several minutes at a time. once the bees is cold and immobilized take the string and rap it around the bee were his thorax connects to the rest of his body its perfect fit. tie a simple knot and make sure to trim any excess string or it will jumble up in the bee feet and servilely affect the bees aerodynamics. once you have him on a leash take and sit him in the sun and in 2-3min you will have your very own pet bee. unless you froze him to death lol. this post is 100% true my grandfather showed me this when i was a child, i added a few things like string not yarn, and the freezer part.

a few tips for those that try this:
1. bumble bees drill holes in wood and are most aboundent from mid June till august
2. there are Male and Female bees. the female usually always has pollen on there back legs and they have a solid black head DO NOT CATCH THESE!!! they have a stinger and a big one at that, they bite and just keep stinging till you rip them off or kill it, trust me you want nothing those tramps put out. the male bee is your target they have a yellow/white square in the center of their face and tend to hover out side the holes waiting for their chance to catch a female coming or going to "get sum".
3. you dont have to put them in the freezer it just makes it so much easier because you dont have the bee fighting you the hole time. if you use this method a slip knot is highly advised.

tactics:
the male bees are always hovering and dart at anything that is small and flies like wasps, as long as its not a black head "girl" they will always return to around the same spot as there highly territorial. you usually get 1 shot at each bee once hes onto you they pull out the serpentine maneuvers, and yah good luck. put your hand up like the Indian "how" position like a high five . approach the target bee slowly. until they think your trying to kill them they just ignore you and hover. this is when you identify black head from white head once again its the most crucial part, if you dont want to get stung. if all is well its a white head, and your within range. you just snap your hand out and snatch him right out of the air. the white heads have a very small n weak mandibles they cant bite and they traded their stinger in for a uhhh.....shlong, so they cant sting either. they just vibrate in your hand and make a loud buzzing sound. dont snatch too hard as to damage his wings.
After you completed these steps once and have a pet bee catching more is cake i recommend 1 bee per child. take your pet bee out to the catch zone and let him fly all other male bees will try to mate and latch onto to your pet they fall to the ground grab the new bee b4 he gets away and repeat. with frequent short rests you can get a good 6-8 hrs, depends on bee will power, per bee just cut the string off and release. hope you guys enjoy as this has been a closely guarded family secrete.... lol

Above post was reported as spam, but it's in off-topic and, it was actually quite an interesting read. :P So I see no reason to act on it.

Let's assume above post contributed, so:

The sum of two consecutive even integers is 58.
