Now I do not usually go for the hype trains, but if I did, I would be VERY EXCITED ABOut 0.13 ... ahem, that is to say I detect elevated levels of anticipation in my emotions.

as there is no restriction in world generation, set all ressource to max, bitter in peaceful, you just need science and smelting going fast you will be doing a rocket pretty soon. Some people do it in 2-3 hours, so 8 seem nothing.
Want more space restriction ? Or maybe you want to be forced to use train for other thing than ore and oil ? Try Building Platform Mod !

Maybe I'll do that once for getting all achievements, but thats probably not that exciting long term.
I just had a quick look at my late game save game and well I beat all production (rate) achievements instantly. a lot of other people will do it too i guess.
There should be an achievement on how fast you can get all other achievements.^^

I also recommend that if you're going for an 8 hour game that you do NOT use most of my mods, most of them will extend your game length
Creator of Bob's mods. Expanding your gameplay since version 0.9.8.

LOL you crack me up. I have to use my mods so i won't reach endgame after 200 hours :D
Or maybe never, damn actually i never reached rocket silo with my marathon settings for your mod. :(

Achievements are disabled if you are using mods, IIRC... That's because you can have a mod that for ex. changes the crafting recipe for the rocket part, satellite and rocket silo to be just one piece of wood...

You can get achievements with mods, but they are in different category and they are not reported to steam.
