by FactorioBot
Bugfixes
  • Limited blueprint building to charted areas - still regardless of fog of war. (94933)
  • Fixed the ability to build belts outside placement range in situations where it shouldn't be possible. (94912)
  • Fixed that modded rapid trains could cause consistency issues with rails. Trains faster than 7386.3km/h will be limited to that speed. (94924)
Scripting
  • Added on_entity_logistic_slot_changed for player and vehicle personal logistics.
Use the automatic updater if you can (check experimental updates in other settings) or download full installation at http://www.factorio.com/download/experimental.

What happens at that speed?

that is more than a U turn in one tick. I don't know why that breaks things.

7386.3km/h is half rail circle in 1 tick (speed of 34.196 tile/tick). Value choosen a little arbitraily with large margings. I could choose limit value as high as 60.55 tile/tick (13078 km/h). Above that speed when a train moves on a tight circle, front joint starting on a curved rail may move around the circle and end on back of the same rail which breaks computation of distance between back and front joint of that rolling stock. There are also other corner cases between 34.196 and 60.55 and i did not want to consider them (like having modded long train with joint distance of 15) so the limit is set to exactly half of a tight circle per tick.

Linode is experiencing a major connectivity issue in the European datacenter we're using, so expect slower than usual download speeds from Europe. Apologies!

Steam has an update for Factorio scheduled a few hours from now, but there's no description or news associated. Is this IT?

Ah... Looks like factorio's speed of light limit.

If you don't try to start a game or have it set to have updates prioritized, Steam will schedule updates for it for the middle of the night.
