"Liquid" Inserters

Is it real to make a 1x1 structure that connects as pipe on one side and has manipulator on other? It should accept fluid and output "liquid" item (barrel), and vice-versa. If it real and someone can help with it, i will let additional proposals.

You might look at the industrial revolution mod. It seems to have nearly exactly what you described.

Hm, i checked actual version (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/IndustrialRevolution) and can't find what you mean.. But anyway it's big and complex mod, and vanilla is enough for me now, i just want beautiful alternative for vanilla pipes.
