Finite Water /Water as a Resource

What is player experience with

It seems the internal forum is a bit ... dead. I would like to know if it runs smoothly and won't bork my game.
Is there any mod doing that? That's strange that finite water appeals to no one, almost. Somehow I would have thought it would bother people to have all their steam power comes from a single water tile found somewhere
In any case, any input, informations and advice on how to play with some finite water would be appreciated!
