Hey cube! You know, the only thing worse than an UDP joke is a TCP joke.
Did you get it?

Hi,

since 12.31 Update i almost always have Problems with map Downloads by the clients connecting to my Server.

Its not just slow... it breaks down to 0kb/s and doesnt ever continue.

It works after a downgrade to 12.30, but every Version since 12.31 has this Problem with map-downloads.
It almost Looks like there is an error in the implemention of the "new" error-control.

Any help?

Btw Server is Windows and i tried several (also Default) port configurations

Thanks

  1. You can do NAT punching in TCP...
  2. What issues would TCP cause when downloading from multiple clients?
  3. Why in the WORLD would you reimplement TCP yourself in UDP, rather than using one of the dozens of existing libraries that already do that!?

Well clearly it isn't fixed.

I can't join any game, my speed quickly drops to 0 and all my friends starts complaining.

I have 60/10 Mbs speed...

I tried port forwarding, the non-steam version, the steam version, admin mode, resetting my router, lowering my MTU... dunno what to do now.

This is entirely too late to be of any use, but I still thought the concept of TCP simultaneous open would be of interest: https://rachelbythebay.com/w/2013/06/29/sim/
