There is no "linking" going on between the library and inventory. The only "linking" is between the library and quickbar, but that has been in since 0.17.0 and is not a new concept.

Think of the new library as a regular inventory that can only hold blueprints. It behaves exactly like any other inventory. If you can get that down, then all of the interactions will make a lot more sense.

In doubt use the make a copy button before moving it from library to inventory.

Thank you for that story of your burnout and your son's child-like wonder bringing you back. My story is different, but I've felt some of that *grounding* from my own 2 year old daughter. I've told a friend that the greatest gift I have gotten from having kids is, for the next 10 years or so (and who knows, maybe even into teenage-hood or beyond??) I've got this incredible grounding force in my life.

Anyway, I'm about 3500hrs in to your game and still love it. Mountain Fortress is my newest obsession.
