[Linux 1.1.49] Can't join any multiplayer server, neither trough steam nor public nor trough IP

When I try joining a multiplayer game, be it trough steam to a friend, or trough the public servers in game, I can't connect.
At first, it says that the server is not responding:
And later, it says that a communication with server failed:
Anyone know how to fix this?
