"Go to last post" button should be before not after nickname.

So apparently the latest update moved the "Go to last post" button behind the username, making it's position dependant on the length of the users nickname, and thus annoying to click several of them in a row.

The only place that still has the correct layout seems to be the "Board index" page where the button has a slightly different name ("View the latest post").

It's the same problem that occured during the last "big" forum update.
(Ugh...also the "Place inline" button for pictures no longer works for me...)

I've gotten used to it now, and I think I'd be just as frustrated by it changing after all this time.
In some ways the placement is logical
"LAST POST" - "by eradicator
link" does scan properly.
I do appreciate your observation about variable name length however.

Maybe to you it is "logical", maybe to me it is not. In either case it is bad interface design. Buttons should not move dependant on some random other factor. And the "Board Index" still uses the old (proper) layout, so it's not even consistent across pages. @Sanqui did fix this once in the past (thank you), so i guess he's either not seeing this thread or maybe he just got annoyed by having to fix it again after each update of the forum software. Automation? ;)

"In some ways" is not an assertion, but an observation and offers an alternative view (devil's advocate). For the record, I do agree with you, perhaps I veiled it too much?
. Anyway, I hope this interaction means that it does rise to the top and gets noticed.

+1. It's inconsistent as-is, and parses much better as [link] by [author] anyways. "Last post" is only found all the way at the top as a column header.
