Pipe depth buffer error

Forgive me if this has been reported before (or God forbid, even fixed), but I noticed some layering issues when trying to build pipe. It seems the already existing pipe drawn over the blueprint (which I would this it should not). See attached screens for a better explanation.

There is no depth buffer, sprites are sorted from back to front.

The problem here is that real entity doesn't connect to the preview, so it doesn't change the sprite to look connected.
