Remember parameterised items in blueprint when 'selecting new contents'

Post by KillcoDer »

TL;DR
Remember parameterised item settings in blueprint when 'selecting new contents'.

What?

This is my 'finished' blueprint:

This is how it looks after selecting the same items, and returning to the parameterisation menu.

Ideally:
  • The items that were selected to be parameters / ingredients of parameters should be maintained.
  • The ordering should be one that is at the very least possible, ideally, the same as previously set. (Formulas at the bottom for example)
  • The names of parameters should be remembered.

Why?
When iterating on parameterised blueprints, re-doing this parameter work takes much longer than the actual changes. Compatible parameterisation settings (with the newly selected contents) should be kept.

It will remember the parameters (even the names) if you first paste the blueprint and fill the parameter icons as the corresponding parameters.
I.e. if you want to make a change, first build the blueprint and when it asks for parameters, set the "Item to build" parameter to the 0 param signal and so on. Then amke changes and select new contents, and the parameters will stay.
