Slow mobile miners as addition to original drills.

And addition to that one: heavy load trucks. (or internal provider chest for bots)

Something like that, I just didn't mean to alter landscape. Just to have a single output point for a whole field of resource. Not to fill it with stationary drills, but to put a miner that will move around and dig everything.

Bucket Wheel Excavator (A Late Game Mobile Mining System)

------------------------
Basically the title says it all. A late game system that would allow "mobile" mining like you see with surface mining. What it should do is allow deposits of ore to be mining by this thing over a larger area, bigger then the current 5x5 electric miners allow. As it mines, it would have 1 of two options: 1) work "similar" to the bot system with a home base, and it would mine and return ore or 2) do something similar to the real ones with an ore train returning again to one point where it can be pulled into the factories.

EDIT: Well, I feel stupid now. I went back through 3 months worth of posts before I posted this. Guess I needed 6 months... :D

That idea means also changing the landscape.

That idea has some variants, but all about how to keep balance between enough resources and exploration.
