Logistics/Construction Networks

I hope this is the right category for this, so here goes:
I would like to have segmented Roboport networks, by Logistics Networks only.
I know, but I'm needy.
So, if Roboports connect every 50 tiles, to allow segmented Logistics Networks, then you could allow Roboports to connect every 100 tiles, for Construction Networks to span several segmented Logistics networks. This would also allow for several segmented Construction Networks as well.
Thoughts?
(META!)

moved from General
And to be honest: I don't understand.
My interpretation: you want to connect the roboports every 100 tiles, instead of 50. But you forget, that the construction network depends on the logistic network, the bots can take/bring items only from there!
Maybe you can describe it with a picture, or in your native language and someone translates?

Hi, i have a idea what he maybe ment it: In my case its a Requester chest, followed with arms and chest, and at the end a passive provider chest. That's a Storage
but because the Requester chest setting is set to the contend of the Passive Provider chest, it builds a loop.
Solution: Limit the Range of Provider chests as a setting (aka "This Provider chest can only serve up to {Put your number in here} tiles").
OR: Setting "Exklude following chests from delivery:"
I would like to have them both. So I can set up a Material Distribution over a larger Area and build larger Storages.
(Short info: Roboports: 270, Logistics and Construction Bots: 3.6k, so I have these Problems l)
BTW I also hope that I got the right thread for this, have a nice Day

@Nondre I just reread your Post
With
segmented networks
you mean for example a Roboport which is only capable of spanning up a Logistic network and vice versa?
So you can span up a Construction Network with much less Roboports, and they are still connected together?
Correct me if I'm wrong

Using segmented logistics networks, you can provide a certain number of drones dedicated solely to the task they are in range of, i.e. having drills and furnaces in one logistics network, being provided a fixed number of drones, while having another segmented logistics network at your main base, concentrating on providing materials to factories. You can rail in the plates from one network to another, and prevent logistics drones from traversing long, sometimes undefended, paths. The construction bots still can repair anything they see fit, and you save a lot of power by not having many Roboports in between.

Changing the color would be awesome, but not the ultimate goal I had in mind. However, I haven't made a base around this idea yet, and I could just smart inserter construction bots into a Roboport in each segment...not technically the ultimate goal either, but I suppose there are bigger fish to fry atm.

I think there are needs, gameplay wise:
- count the number of bots (active / inactive) for each type in current logistic network
- tell a roboport how many bots of each type he should hold at minimum
- tell all roboports in a network to hold as many bots of each type at minimum.
The second option would enable to pick bots out of the roboports, either by hand or automatic.

Being able to just flip a switch and shut down logistics or construction bots would be nice, and allow you to do both manually for the interim.
