Natives should not tarnish the land

It is my understanding that the biters and spitters in the game are the "natives"
As such, I believe it is quite mean to show that the land becomes dirty and the water becomes polluted because of their presence
After all, they are the natives; The rightful owners of the planet. They should have a healthy connection to it
I also felt that Factorio could show a greater message to players by showing that progress and industry can have a negative impact, instead of now when destroying biter bases seem to suggest that the land will return back to normal; Almost as if the land was originally destroyed by the biters and not us
The improvement could be to replace the terrain effects with more lush vegetation; Anything which is greener than the greenest grass we can see
That would suggest that the natives healthily impact the planet, and thus would make the players feel more remorse for destroying them (well not really to veterans)
