Not flat water?...

I was just looking at "Spectator Island" i made for BiterBattles...
Still need to find way to copy / paste it instead of concrete Circle xDD
but when i was looking at that pic... i started to wonder...
Why Factorio water is so flat and ugly?...
btw. if u want to see how Spectators Island look:
Anywaa... why Factorio have water as Tile instead of Object that is draw over terrain?...
1. Generate Landscape ( for example current generator BUT with disabled water )
2. place "Water" over Land tiles with Depth Alpha
so for example we have 3 Water Tiles or Objects that are draw over Land tile and we have
-> ( Low Depth ) Water Alpha 25%
-> ( Medium Depth ) Water Alpha 50%
-> ( Bottom of the Ocean :OOO ) Water Alpha 75%
This way we can see bottom of the water
Here i made little Example:
Ofc. its just same world generated twice ( once with wated one without water )
and pictures connected into one ...
I was using Alpha 50% in this example...
Here You have how it will look with 3 Layers of water ( 25% / 50% / 75% ) ofc. Results are rly poor in this example in Game it could look much better...
because im just using Alpha to Blend all layers together...
but Game could do it much much better
