I would like to be able to see the version number in the main menu. Perhaps in the bottom right corner in white text. It bothers me to have to go into the about to check it.

To add to this I would also like to see the about button or a version number added while in a mid game.

Both would indeed be nice, yes.

I am playing in windowed mode. There you can see the Version Number in the window bar on the top

Well, not everybody is.

do add a version number to the title screen, but not while in-game.
