programmable Inserters to pick slected items

I have found that in some cases when i am have meany items of a belt being picked up by Inserters that some don't get picked up as they are not needed at the time.
This for me means that at the end of the belt they all get collected in to one box.
I thort "i wish i could get selected items to go back round again (like science kits) so they can be picked up when needed later"

so i would like to to hear wot peopal say about "programmable Inserters".

The idea is that you can tell them to pick up one or more type of item, or ignore one or more type of item as well as the normal setting of "grab anything"

I did search for this ideas but came up with nothing. so dose it have merit or is there already a system in place i missed?

You are thinking of smart inserters. Just set the filter, with no circuit or logistic conditions.

i see. that seems to be whot i was looking for, just the terminology was different. thanks for the help please close / delete post

:D That was the reason why I wanted to have a minimum of 15 game-hours before allowed to make suggestions. ;) Moved to already implemented.
