Either that is sarcasm (Which I really, really hope) or that is an example of friggin social inertia, like how Dota type games still have denying as a mechanic, because the game was originally written by someone in Warcraft 3 using the Warcraft 3 bounty system.

I am reasonably confident that this will work in multiplayer. Added a loop to go through all players in game.
