A very minor bug where a fast inserter taking input from a chest and giving output to an assembler mistakenly says "Waiting for source items" when the assembler is full of the item in the chest.

The status message is correct, the inserter is waiting for items it can insert.

The assembling machine is full.
No it isn't, your screenshot shows it is missing iron. The inserter does not read your intentions of never inserting iron in that chest, all it does is wait for items in its source to match the filter of its destination, and right now the filter is iron and the source does not have any, ergo it is "waiting for source items".
