I just discovered the "Entity tooltips on the side" setting and noticed that, if you disable it, the tooltip is not shown when you are placing miners on a patch. I often refer to this information to make sure that I'm not mixing resources on the starter patches that often are on top of one another, so I ended up turning it back on because of this problem. Would be great if this could be fixed, since I prefer the tooltip on the cursor.

Hello. I have reproduced the issue for Entity tooltip delay = 0 ms and only when you hold the miner in the cursor. Does that configuration match your problem?

I just stumbled upon this bug in 2.0.71

The behavior definitely appears to depend on the tooltip delay.

Setting delay to 0ms shows no tooltip at all when "on the side" is deactivated.
Setting delay to 40ms shows the tooltip of the ORE when "on the side" is deactivated, which does not show the expected resources.
Activating "on the side" shows the tooltip of the miner – this is the only case where you see the expected resources. I'd love to be able to play with tooltips on the cursor, but this is very annoying in case of touching resource patches, as stated in original post.
