Forgive me if this is a feature, not a bug.

While using the world map view ("," key with the default configuration) I can manually take control of a train.

Open the world map.
Go to a place with a train on the map.
Hover the mouse pointer on the locomotive.
Press Enter.

The GUI displays the message "Entered the vehicle" (see attachment). While pressing enter again I "exit" the vehicle.
I can similarly exit the vehicle by closing the world map.
While "into" the vehicle I can control the train. My character physically stays in the same place.

In 2.0 you can remote drive trains and tanks and stuff

But not cars. Cars aren’t that fancy.

Thank you very much. For the answer, the feat, and the game in general.
Car DO are fancy, I'll admit.

Oh wow.
And even shoot with them !
This makes remote defense so much easier !!
(I was wondering about those tank (but not car) vehicle logistics, it makes even more sense now !)
A bit sad for cars though...
