Nintendo Switch Quality & Elevated Rails

I just read this in the wiki:
As of November 2024, the Nintendo Switch version of the game is based off of the 1.1 version of the PC game. The Switch will receive the 2.0 update in around December 2024.
I am unsure how official is this, and I would LOVE to have [2.0] on the switch, it's basically most of the QoL mods I used in PC at 1.0 included in it.
I am also welling to pay extra for a mini DLC that include quality and/or elevated rails just to squeeze it with my other 2.0 none space age run in PC, and make them cross play without starting new saves.

while something like this may have a backlash in the PC market, I think its passable in the switch.

I do not have any argument why they need to be there. I enjoy the randomness and recycler and I would just feel like factorio base is missing something without those add-ons now.

Just my thought. 👍thanks for space age and all the bug fixes.

Honestly with switch 2 coming soon ish I could imagine the space age expansion being held until we see if it can run it

Actually, they say that they are working on bringing the 2.0 update to Switch. They specifically state that Space Age, which includes the Quality and Elevated Rails mods, will NOT go to Switch.

As another poster suggested, Switch 2 may be able to handle it, and hopefully the devs will reconsider the decision to not bring the game to other platforms when they get their hands on it. But … dont hold your breath. The game will be cross platform with the Switch once more, eventually, as long as there are zero mods (other than Base) in use.
