When I change from advanced to basic carbonic asteroid crushing with a full crusher output, I get a duplicate carbon output slot, and the sulfur output slot stays. These slots contain the previous products, and I get 50 carbon in the basic carbon slot.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Crush carbonic asteroids on advanced crushing until the machine is full
2. Switch the machine to basic crushing
3. Profit

Expected behaviour:
Like other machines, the extra slots and products just disappear (or end up in the hub, idc)

Actual behaviour:
More output slots than either basic or advanced recipes should have.

That's not a bug for sure. Happens in every building.

Those are called trash slots and when you change a recipe all the ingredients and products left in a machine will end up in such trash slots. They disappear once you remove the items, which you can do with an inserter or clicking on them in remote view mote (left or right, doesn't matter) to push them into the logistic network.

No more items getting dropped to the ground when you change recipes.
