I'm playing on a multiplayer server with my friends on a steam deck in desktop mode. I'm not using any mods. Whenever my friends get an achievement, I don't get a notification in game, nor a steam notification (and steam doesn't register the achievement as completed either). When I check the achievements window in-game (or if I have an achievement as pinned), the ribbon will start to show green instead of burnt orange, indicating that at least something thinks I got the achievement.

Post the save and describe exactly what achievement you would expect to have obtained recently please, see 3638.

The steam part of the issue can happen if you enabled cheats (this doesn't count cheat mods) but the in-game part I'm not sure about.

I’ve attached two save files. The first is before getting “keeping your hands clean” and the second is before getting “logistic network embargo” and “rush to space”. I will also say we didn’t capture a save before theee moments, but I also had problems with “if it bleeds we can kill it”, “get off my lawn”, “visit vulcanus”, “reach for the stars”, “steam all the way”, and “raining bullets” as well as a few miscellaneous production ones. I started this save on my desktop PC on Windows and was getting achievements normally at the same time as my friends, but when I switched to playing on my steam deck (shortly before launching our first rocket) I stopped getting any achievements at all.

Notably I was not hosting the server while we were playing - my friend was, so I obtained the save files from him.

We were specifically aiming for achievements so we were avoiding console commands and cheats. Presumably using cheats would have disabled achievements for the other players as well, right? Not just me?

I read more about how achievements work on multiplayer games, and realized this is because I spent <50% of the save online.
