Biter eggs spoilage

Hi there.
Biter eggs looks like the only spoilable item that does not spoil until removed from spawner.
I tried looking into docs & runtime prototype data, but didn't find any property that relates to such behaviour. Can you help me identify the source of it?

This has no "spoil" nor "fresh" in neither name or description. In fact, this has no description at all.
