No chain reaction for nearby nuclear reactors Vulcanus

In my attempt to draw letters using lava, I wanted to have a bigger lava lake.

I placed three reactors with about 8 tiles between them, heated them up to >900 degrees (using rocket fuel in a heating tower, but apparently that's ok :D), and shot the middle reactor.

What I expected to happen: the blast from the first reactor to destroy the other reactors, which would then blow up themselves, leaving three (overlapping) lava ponds

What happened: the other reactors vanished immediately, presumably on changing the tile to lava, without blowing up themselves.

This feels like a bug to me, as I would expect the shock wave to hit the reactor before the lava has time to swallow the reactor safely.

I made a little gif here. You can see the three reactors, and to test the "swallowing lava pool hypothesis", I placed a fourth reactor on the left just outside the lava pool area but well within the blast area. After shooting the middle reactor, the two reactors on either side immediately disappear, but the one on the far left stays. The blast then violently destroys that reactor, causing a second blast:

If desired, possible fixes could be to delay creating the lava until after the blast, or to activate the explosion for a reactor that's about to be removed because of the lava creation.
