I started a playthrough using this mod. https://mods.factorio.com/mod/EarthMaps?from=search I just got to the space age part of the game and turns out I cant go to space. This mod replaces nauvis with a new surface Earth. As such there is no space to go to. I have a huge factory/world. Is there anyway I can save my progress and get to space?

That mod seems to create a custom Surface "Earth", but it does not include a Planet prototype - so it does not exist in the Space Map. The "Nauvis" Planet/surface still exists, but it is not accessible without Commands. You can try using the Map Editor's "Clone" functionality to move your Factory to the Nauvis surface.... but Nauvis is still hidden from view by default, so some Lua Scripting would be required.

I use Factorio World which changes Nauvis' map generation instead of creating a new Planet/Surface. This would mean starting a new game.

The mod description says

Base Factorio v2 only - no Space Age support.

In Base Factorio, you can't go to space.

That was added after I talked to the dev about it not working with space age
