Good day,

Recently I have been unable to play due to a failure with Mods launching. I have no Mods installed beside those deemed essential from Steam updates. I have tried conventional methods, verifying files, removing and reinstalling corrupt areas (pump folder and entire graphics folder) , fully uninstalling the game; to no avail. Below is the failure text.

Failed to load mods: The given sprite rectangle (left_top=40x952, right_bottom=212x1110) is outside the actual sprite size (left_top=0x0, right_bottom=172x2528).

Any help help would be appreciated as I love the game and I can no longer play the game. A stated before no mods downloaded, nothing changed, just one day I couldn't launch.

Whatever this means, I am not computer savvy at all.

Verify your installation through steam and post the log if the error persists.

It looks like you posted the Steam cloud log, not the actual Factorio log. The error message itself points to a corrupted base game sprite file, so this probably is not a mod issue at all.

I would try this:

Verify files in Steam again
If it still fails, uninstall the game
Then manually delete the remaining Factorio install folder in Steam, because uninstall sometimes leaves broken files behind
Reinstall fresh
Also check that your mods folder in AppData\Roaming\Factorio\mods is empty except for the default base/space age content if applicable

If the problem still happens after that, please post the real Factorio log file (factorio-current.log), not the Steam log.
