The relief of construction bots

Every time I start a new game, I rush to getting construction bots. Is there any better feeling than finally getting your first construction bot built? Is there anything more annoying than having to walk or drive the engineer around everywhere? Once I have construction bots, I rarely, if ever, move the engineer again. Am I right?

Getting over the power hump (right now that means getting a nuclear reactor online).
Making your first planetfall.
But construction bots facilitates that.

They are so slow without upgrades. Yes, they become useful after some time but not in the moment I can build them.
For me the main relief point is Logistic system research.
