While riding and shooting, the origin of shotgun bullets is in the car, so they all get blocked by its frame and damage it.

(also, shooting flamethrower forward while going fast makes the flames go backward anyway, well, considering air friction this could be quite realistic as firing a flamethrower in a fast moving car could also burn your face, but in a game it looks silly )

Hi, thanks for the report, shooting shotgun won't damage the car in 0.7.2. Flamethrower (every projectile weapon, for that matter), will still have the speed relative to ground and
not relative to the shooting unit.
