If you open smart inserter that had set a < or = wire condition on some item before, and cycle through possibilities, there are "<", "=", and "..." instead of ">". If you switch to "..." it changes later to ">".

(at first i thought "..." means "don't care about this item", but no)

This was a gui bug, where the button wasn't resized properly when the sign was bigger, fixed for 0.8.5
