Hi everyone!

I've been interested in getting Factorio for a few months now but i've been wondering a few things about the graphics.

As said in the "Buy the Game" webpage and since a few days on steam, minimal requirements for Factorio are 2GB RAM and 512 MB VRAM.
My computer is getting a bit old and is only equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M (15", Macbook Pro mid-2010) which is a 288MB Card.
However, i played the demo a few month ago, and tried it again last week, and i had no real problems playing it, so here comes my question :
Does the Demo version of Factorio use less resources than the complete game ? Is it needed to have a more powerful graphic Card once your industry is getting well developped du to the many activities of the whole installation ? Or is it just that the 512MB requirement would more look like a "recommended setting" than a "minimum requirement" ?

I hope this question as not been asked too often, i couldn't find it out in the research tab as it always ended in "timed out operation, try again in a few minutes"

yes the demo version does use less resources and no it does not need more Vram once the game is loaded

I finally decided to buy it still , I am planing to change my computer soon enough anyway so i thought that it would be at least helping the developpers on the projet if i could not run it for now.

But the good thing is that i can run Factorio with this Config that is under the "minimum requirement"
-RAM : 8Go
-VRAM : 256 Mo (Nvidia Geforce GT 300M)

I run it with "Low" Graphical settings ( there is a "Very Low" that should require even less resources) and, when disabling smoke, i am around 60 FPS no matter the size of the map or the the number of factories. When activating smoke i go down to about 40 FPS.

With "Medium" Graphical setting i drop down to 2 FPS though.
