Chests in mining outposts

I'm using the Character Logistics to request some items when I'm in my base (walls, laser turrets, ect), so the logistic bots will bring them to me and I won't run out of materials.
I'm using Roboports with Storage Chests in my mining outposts (that are connected by train to my main base), to store walls, laser turrets, etc. so when something is destroyed by biters, it will be automatically rebuilt.
These two things don't go well together
Whenever I walk into an outpost, and I don't have any walls in my inventory, logistic bots will take them from the repair-chest and bring them to me, leaving the outpost without repair materials..
Possible solutions:
- give the new Passive Provider Chest a tick box, so you can set it to not bring to the player
- make the Roboport internal storage space so it can take other materials besides Repair Packs.
(btw, if you try to insert walls into a Roboport, you will get the message "Only Materials can be inserted here, not Wall". Butbut wall is a material
