Problem signature:
So, I have this wierd issue the basically stops me form getting the newest version.

The game keeps crashing on startup. Not always but there is some sort of pattern.

1. It always crashes when I start up the game for the first time after at startup of the comupter. All I do here is close the app when the "crash" window comes up and restart the game. Works fine now.

2. When the game starts, it ofc asks me if I want to updaet to the newest version. That I want so I click "Update Now". The updae gests downloaded fine and the game restarts. When teh game tried to start again, it crashes 100% of the times and the update fails. When I then start the game again, it asks me if I want to update and the process just repetes.

Beacuse I'm on 0.9.8 and that is the lastest version to download manually on the website, I'm basically stuck on 0.9.8.

No help from me on the crashes, but you can download all new versions if you click "experimental release", next to "Download", it takes you to https://www.factorio.com/download/experimental

Thanks you a lot. I have totally missed that. Downloading now so hopefully it will help.

Game still crashes 100% when I erstart after an update but atleast now I have the latest version.

I'm not sure, but this suggests it might be the graphics driver causing the crash? Try updating your graphics drivers.

Thought so too, have done a normal reinstall and even a clean reinstall, same problem.

This is definitely a bug, moving to bug reports. Could you please post the game log after the crash? It is called factorio-current.log and is placed next to your saves and mods directories.

I will as soon as it crashes again.

We did some updater fixes, and update from 0.10.2 -> 0.10.3 should be working fine, so I'm moving this to resolved bugs.

Let us know if it doesn't work anyway.
