I just downloaded the game and as I logged in to the game I noticed I can't update and it just sends me to the main screen to play the game. I know it's on 16. something but I'm on 12.35.

Thanks for the report. I don't think you can use the updater to update from 0.12. You have to download 0.13 or later manually at which point it can use the in-game updater.
