Not sure if this is a bug or intended.
If you give an Ammo Recipe a description in Local, then the damage values don't appear.
If you remove the recipe description, they show up.
Same fur a turret.

Thanks for the report. That's working as intended: if you don't define a description for a recipe it uses the description of the main product for the recipe.

I could see some variants of that being useful but as of now that's how it's setup to work.

If you have some suggestions for ways for it to work differently you can make a mod interface request for settings to change the behavior.
