Me and my brother both bought the game. It is installed on two pc's but were both 'activated' (with the login screen at the start of the game, only one time) on my account because my brother only bought it a few days later.
Now we want to play multiplayer but the last time it didn't work and we thought it could be because the game was logged in on the same account.
Now we want to change the login in one game but I can't find where I should change that.

So does anyone know how I can change the login in the game?

We're playing version 0.11.8

Options -> Other -> Multiplayer username

In the beginning, when you install factorio for the first time, you get a prompt to login to your account. On both pc's I've logged in on my account. Now we want to change the account the game is logged into.

You can delete player-data.json in the game's root directory. (not sure if different location for installer version. check user folder\factorio if so)
You may be able to just delete the updater username and token lines in the file, in order to keep which campaign levels you've beaten, but I'm not certain that will work as expected. It should.

Thank you, but I cannot find the player-data.json. The only json's I find have nothing to do with players and the only player things i find are sprite sheets of animations.

C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS-USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Factorio

The login name is not checked in multiplayer, only the multiplayer usernames (which are set by default from the login name, but can be changed anytime).
