I encountered this bug earlier today, where whenever I minimized the tab that factorio was running in, or had it open in the background while doing something in the other tab, when I returned to factorio, the screen started flickering. Only factorio was flickering, all other screens were fine. I saved and went to the menu, and the problem persisted, and when I closed factorio and reopened it, the screen didn't flicker. I was able to reproduce this after doing similar actions. This was all done while factorio was full screen.

Try to disable "Use flip presentation model" option in graphics settings.

Alternatevily, there's newer version of nVidia graphics driver. I'd be interested to know if it still happens if you update the driver.

Thank you for the help, disabling "Use flip presentation model" was able to resolve the issue
