I did not check in experimental but in 1.0.0 i noticed you have only sertain spots where u can select the locomotive while its standing in a curve (see the picture, dont know how its called

)

for me ca. the yellow marked area is working. I think its new as I didnt noticed this before.
its not game breaking but kinda annoying as it interrupts the the game flow when you have to zoom in or try to find the right spot.

Thanks for the report however I can't reproduce any such issue when I test it. Are you using any mods?

yeah, sorry

had some mods running and found the bad guy.
unloaded it and all is fine again

(caused also some problems with removing rail tracks)
