Alien Life Logistics?

Is there a guide around for using the various creature-based logistics from Alien Life? I've seen some stuff with the caravans but not with the other things, like logistic stations and oculas.

Are caravans still glitchy to the point of uselessness ?
(Getting randomly stuck at best, crashing the game at worst.)
