Re: Friday Facts #438 - Space Age wrap up
Thanks for the update, an RPG made by you guys could be interesting. I was kinda hoping that you'd leave a developer or two on Factorio to work on 'official' mods or something to continue to drip some ideas you guys hadn't been able to implement for 2.0, but I totally understand how working on a sin...

Re: Version 2.0.15
Glad to see we can use Quality starter packs for space platforms. Will the rest of the things for space be updated with better weight and/or HP ratios for higher quality? I'd love to see a legendary space platform constructed of entirely legendary materials (including platform foundation that has so...

Re: Game Mode support for Apple Silicone
To add to this: if I launch the game via Steam, then it launches into full screen mode. But the same version in standalone does not. My guess is that steam adds some kind of wrapper to Factorio that specifies that anything it launches is a game and the OS will then launch it via game mode. I have al...

Re: Friday Facts #433 - Liftoff Initiated
This is so cool! I love my Spidertron but this is going to be so handy. I’m curious, have the Spidertrons been given pathing, like in an RTS, where you click where you want them to go and they will walk around the water to get there? That ability would be handy to have and I almost feel like they ne...

This is amazing. Love the Railgun design! Do heat pipes lose less heat with quality? I hope so as that would also make nuclear builds better on Nauvis.

Re: Friday Facts #431 - Gleba & Captivity
Since the captured spawners/labs is also half Gleba, I wonder if allowing it to be used on Gleba with double the bioflux input would offer any gameplay rewards/opportunities for the player. Maybe if they aren’t constantly fed they rupture into mega biters with a short lifespan because they are now o...

Re: Friday Facts #429 - Vulcanus Demolisher Enemies
I think it might be interesting to have the types of buildings that trigger the Destroyers be based on how many have been killed. Start off a little easier for the player, but as you cull the herd more and more, they become more agressive. This could also be adjusted based on the enemy sliders at wo...

The ability to manufacture items in order to fill ghost requests could be really cool. I hope the devs are able to find a way to implement it without impacting performance.

Re: Friday Facts #427 - Combat Balancing & Space Age LAN
A major drawback of combat robots is the necessity to „spawn“ them in small batches. I completely agree. Let us deploy them faster so we don’t spend so much of the robots life/combat time just spam-clicking redeploying them. Also, research to extend their lifespan would be cool. Maybe quality can a...

Re: Friday Facts #425 - Behind the legs
Do the pathfinding changes mean that Spidertrons will now be able to find their way around larger bodies of water, when remotely controlled? I really hope so. Especially since they are giving us the RTS tool. To me that implies 1. More RTS-like commands and movement expectations from your troops (I...

Re: Create logistic group from blueprint
I've been wanting this for a while. My initial idea was to just put the blueprint in the logistic slot (be that in your inventory or in a Requestor Chest) Real handy to drop the blueprint in for a large build, like a nuclear build, wait for all the items to get delivered, then take it out and it's o...

Re: [1.1.109] [M1 Mac] Mac Game Mode only works on Steam
Hmm. Well that only tells me how to turn it off if it's on. I did some more testing: Deleted the standalone version and duplicated the one Steam has in their hidden folder to my Applications. When launching, it forces Steam to start, but also enables Game Mode- so there has to be something different...

Super Force Deploy Military Capsule
Super Force Deploy your Military Bots would deploy the Max that you have. This could save us from having to spam constantly and lengthens the time that you are at max bots when killing biters. We could also have some variants: like left vs right click could deploy all or half the bots. And to finali...

[1.1.109] [M1 Mac] Mac Game Mode only works on Steam
I normally only play with the Factorio website client, but with 2.0 coming out I decided to get all the achievements on Steam. So I loaded up the Steam version and noticed that the Apple Game Mode turned on, something I've never seen running the native client. After testing back and forth and on a f...

Re: Friday Facts #418 - Space Age release date
Monday release, it's a little strange day tbh. I guess it doesn't make THAT big of a difference but i think before weekend would be a bit more convenient for the people. I think a Monday release is more for the programmers so that they can be available all week for bug fixes. As much testing as the...

In the discord, Klonan heavily implied that there will also be a 3rd fff for each planet

There would have to be, because we haven't seen all the things we can make with the new resources. New intermediates, weapons, ammo, etc.

Re: Friday Facts #394 - Assembler flipping and circuit control
What if Pumpjacks flipping rotated through corner, side, corner for the outputs? And also make them transfer through neighbor like mining drills. This way we can output a pumpjack to it's neighbor, then take that output through a pipe to the destination? This could simplify pumpjack pipe spaghetti a...

Very cool stuff. I don't do crazy things with trains, but these changes are going to simplify the factory quite a bit. Can't wait to see what else is in store!
