You could use a tool to limit steams bandwith if you want to keep the savegames in the cloud and want to install additional software to handle the upload.
Not sure if it is worth it...

Just a small detail: there is no need to show all vials. Only highest one would be enough at least at the moment. Like only green if tech needs red+green, and only blue if tech needs red+green+blue. presumably the refactoring would've put oil cracking into the plans. The difficult part in the beginning is getting the possibilities for oil cracking, since you have a set ratio of heavy oil, light oil and pertoleum income. When i start a new factory and start doing oil stuff i mostly build a tank...
